The Care & Mobility Show 2015 Details Announced
Following the success of this year’s inaugural event, details of the 2015 Care & Mobility show have now been announced, taking place on 22nd and 23rd April at Dublin’s RDS exhibition centre.
After considerable feedback and input from previous exhibitors and visitors alike, significant enhancements have been made, including the addition of two, one day conferences which will run alongside the exhibition, together with some major event features such as a ‘Sports Arena’ and ‘Early Intervention’ exhibition area. The main exhibition and adapted vehicles areas proved to be very popular and will build on the success of the 2014 event as will the Private Therapy Pavilion, which continues to be sponsored by PrivateOT.ie
For Occupational Therapists, a one day CPD led conference with dedicated learning modules is being provided and for Community Health Nurses, there is a one day vocational, practical based conference. CPD Training on ‘Pressure Care’ is taking place for those working in either a Hospital / Care setting or Community based environment, and will cover three key areas for pressure care; Sleep Systems, Wheelchair Seating and Postural Seating & Positioning.
Also for 2015, two key sponsors who are both previous exhibitors are announced, with Beechfield Healthcare sponsoring the OT’s CPD based Conference with the aim of promoting their Van Os range of Excel wheelchairs and Momentum Healthcare sponsoring the Sports Arena with emphasis on the GTM brand of active user and sports wheelchairs.
The nominated charity for 2015 is ‘The Rebel Wheelers’; a voluntary group achieving great things by working alongside wheelchair users and their families. This year’s Caring for Carers organisation were greatly appreciative of their enhanced publicity and the four figure funding contribution received as the nominated charity for 2014. As organisers, Medcare Events were happy to help this great charity and now hope we can achieve similar things for the Rebel Wheelers this time around.
Commenting on today’s announcement, Adam Lingard of Medcare-Events, stated “2014 was a huge learning curve for us as organisers of the first event and we’ve received some really great help and feedback from lots of people; visitors, exhibitors, and other organisations around the country who share our vision for a national event of this kind. The plans and content for the 2015 event have taken all this into consideration and indeed, many of the show enhancements were the ideas people gave us in their feedback. We’ve listened, we’ve learned and we’re doing what we know are the things people want to see and experience for 2015.”
